How do I verify an email address?

Give your connected agent the complete address and ask for a Hunter email check through TaskFuel. Hunter checks MX mail records and SMTP server responses. Your agent explains the result. Finding an address is a separate task.

Do I need a Hunter account or a browser email checker?

No Hunter account is needed. You use a connected agent with a TaskFuel account and prepaid balance, not a standalone anonymous or free browser checker. You pay per request with no TaskFuel subscription.

What does email verification cost?

What is the difference between invalid and unknown?

Invalid means Hunter judged the address unusable, such as a mailbox that does not exist or rejects mail. Unknown means verification was inconclusive, for example because the server did not respond or blocked the check. Unknown does not mean invalid.

What does a catch-all email result mean?

Hunter calls this accept_all. The domain accepts mail for addresses whether or not the individual mailbox exists. Keep it flagged for review: a catch-all result does not confirm that your recipient's mailbox is real.

Does a valid result guarantee inbox delivery?

No. Verification reports the address's status at the time of the check. Mailboxes can change, and a valid result does not guarantee that a message reaches the inbox.

Can I check a list of email addresses?

This endpoint accepts one address per request. Your agent can process a list as separate calls and organize the results, but that is not a bulk-upload tool on this page. Review the planned calls and their quotes before approving the work.

Where does the email address go?

The address is sent to Hunter via Locus for the check. Only supply addresses you are authorized to share, and approve sending customer or personal data to that provider before your agent calls it.
