EMAIL for Codex2¢ per email

Let Codexsend the email.

A Codex task that finishes at 3am can say so. Release notes, build failures, a report someone asked for: written and sent in the same task, 2¢ an email. No SMTP server, no sending provider account.

When to use it.

Release notes

Ship it and announce it.

Codex already knows what changed, because it wrote it. Let it draft the note and send it in the same task instead of leaving you a paragraph to copy into a mail client.

Long builds

Report the failure to a person.

A task that fails at 3am reports into a log nobody reads until morning. 2¢ puts it in an inbox instead.

No provider to add

Skip the SMTP setup.

Wiring a sending provider into a project means an account, a verified domain and a secret in the environment. This needs none of them.

Good Questions.

Can Codex send emails?

Not on its own: it has no mail server behind it. Connect TaskFuel and it composes and sends the message as a tool call, 2¢ an email.

Do I need an SMTP server or a verified domain?

No. One TaskFuel account and one prepaid balance covers it. TaskFuel pays the provider and bills your balance, so nothing lands in the project's environment.

What does an email cost?

2¢ to send. An inbox of its own is $1 for 30 days, sending from that inbox is 0.5¢, and reading a message is 0.1¢.

Can a task read the reply?

Yes, if you buy it an inbox. It can list and read messages at 0.1¢ each and delete them for free.

What if a send fails?

A failed call does not debit your TaskFuel balance.
