Ask a coding agent for Snake and you get Snake: green squares chasing a red one across a dark box. It works. It also looks unfinished, because code is the only thing the agent can make.
An app it builds stops in the same place: no icon, no illustrations, no sound.
Before: what the agent could make on its own
We start with a simple prompt to build a Snake game:
Create a snake game in a single html file
One more prompt
The second prompt names the job and leaves the providers to the agent. It searched TaskFuel’s catalog for image, music and sound endpoints, and read each price before paying. Everything came out of one balance, with no accounts or API keys to set up.
Using TaskFuel, add music, images and sound effects to the game using a Chinese Dragon theme
After: the same game, polished
Turn the sound on. There is a title screen, a countdown, a dragon chasing a flaming pearl, and one track for playing and another for losing.
We chose the theme and the music style along the way. The agent made every asset and wired it into the game.
Everything the agent made
Here is every asset as it came back, with what it cost.
The art
One image, four sprites. The agent asked for them together so they would share a style, then cut them out itself.
$0.06
$0.06The background took two tries. Asked for a 20 by 20 checkerboard, the model drew about 14 squares, which would never line up with the game. The second brief asked for texture only, and the game draws its own grid.
$0.06
$0.06The music
Each track came from one line of style tags: chiptune with erhu and guzheng, in the spirit of classic console games. Suno returns two takes per call, so you get a choice for the price of one.
The sound effects
Four effects, each under three seconds, about five cents apiece.
What it cost
| What | Calls | Charged |
|---|---|---|
| Music, Suno | 4 | $0.220 |
| Sound effects, ElevenLabs | 5 | $0.268 |
| Images, gpt-image-2 | 4 | $0.256 |
| Total | 13 | $0.744 |
Seventy-four cents, retries included. The run log has every call, prompt and price as it happened.
When TaskFuel is worth it
The subscription version of this game is three plans: ChatGPT Plus at $20 a month for the art, Suno Pro at $8 for music you’re allowed to ship, and ElevenLabs Starter at about $6 for the effects (checked October 2, 2026). Suno’s and ElevenLabs’ free plans don’t include commercial rights. Here it was $0.74, once.
For a hobby game, free asset sites like OpenGameArt and Freesound are a real alternative and cost nothing but the search. The agent skipped the search: its thirteen calls ran in about six minutes, from 06:04 to 06:10 UTC in the run log, and it wired every asset into the game itself.
It was never about the game
Swap the game for an app and the list barely changes: an icon, onboarding illustrations, a notification sound, music for the launch video.
Your agent already writes the code. With TaskFuel it can make the rest in the same session, and it sees the price of each piece before it pays. Start with image generation or music generation.

Connect your agent and the first $1 is on us. Paste the two prompts above and pick your own theme.
