Try the API request Quote first, then run

1. Check the price

Use your TaskFuel API key as TASKFUEL_API_KEY in your terminal or server. Keep it out of browser code. This request checks the price without paying.

This is the exact timeline request from the test. To read the next page, add next_token from the response; each page is a separate paid request.

curl --fail-with-body https://app.taskfuel.ai/v1/call \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TASKFUEL_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data-binary @- <<'TASKFUEL_REQUEST'
{
  "url": "https://x402.twit.sh/tweets/user?username=taskfuelai",
  "method": "GET",
  "dryRun": true
}
TASKFUEL_REQUEST

2. Run the request

Review amount_usd in the quote. To pay and run, change dryRun to false and add maxAmountUsd with that approved amount inside the same JSON object. Keep the inputs unchanged; this limit applies to one call.

3. Read the result

Read data[].text, created_at, id and public_metrics. meta.next_token points to the next page. Replies and reposts appear in the same list.

Good Questions.

Do I need an X API key?

No. Your agent pays from your TaskFuel balance, so there is nothing else to sign up for.

What does a Twitter scraper API cost here?

Our timeline test cost $0.01 and a profile lookup $0.02 on 30 October 2026. The X API lists $0.005 per post read and $0.010 per profile read, as published that day. Your agent shows the price for your own request before it pays.

Does it return every post an account has made?

No. The timeline returns up to 20 posts per page, newest first. Our test returned 20, and most were replies or reposts.

Which tool should my agent use?

Use the timeline for an account’s recent posts, the profile for its bio and counts, and search for posts about a topic. The X search guide shows a tested search.

Can this post tweets or follow accounts?

No. These tools read public data. Posting, following and messaging are separate operations and are not included here.
