## Connect your agent

Read the [setup guide](https://taskfuel.ai/docs/setup/) and choose the connection your agent supports.

Use one TaskFuel account and prepaid balance. Inspect the provider and request quote before a paid call, then review the returned response and recorded charge.

## When to use it

### Check the source before reading.

Request the title and publication date. Open the page when it looks relevant.

### Catch a missing preview image.

Inspect a public link before sharing it.

### Identify duplicate URLs.

Compare canonical URLs and page titles across your list.

## Questions

### What metadata does the URL extractor return?

It returns the page title, description, social image, canonical URL, favicon, site name, author, published time, language, a short body excerpt and the raw Open Graph, Twitter and itemprop metadata dictionary.

### What does one URL metadata call cost?

Our test lookup cost $0.0025 (0.25¢) on 29 October 2026. Your agent shows the price for your own request before it pays.

### Do I need a metadata API account?

No. Your agent pays from your TaskFuel balance, so there is nothing else to sign up for.

### Can it fetch private or internal URLs?

No. The operation is for public URLs and guards against requests to private networks. It also has an eight-second timeout and a 512 KB response-body limit.

### Does it render every JavaScript application?

Do not assume that. The operation fetches the public URL and extracts the metadata present in the response it receives. Pages that add fields only later in the browser may return less.

### Does a response mean the metadata is correct?

No. It means the provider returned fields from the page. Your workflow still decides whether they are complete and suitable for the task.
