# Twitter scraper API

Read X posts and profiles, paid per call.

Let your agent read an account’s latest posts or look up a profile without an X developer account.

The timeline and profile tools were each tested once on the TaskFuel account. Post search is priced here and has its own tested result in the X search guide.

Provider in the worked example: twit.sh.

Price shown for this route: 1¢ per request.

## What it can do

### Account timeline

Latest posts from one account, up to 20 per page. Our test returned 20 posts with text, date and engagement counts.

Price: $0.01 / request.

### Profile lookup

One public profile. Our test returned the handle, bio and public counts.

Price: $0.02 / lookup.

### Post search

Public posts matching a keyword, account or mention. See the X search guide for a tested result.

Price: $0.005 / search.

## A real example

Tested on 2026-10-30 through twit.sh.

We asked for the latest posts from the TaskFuel account. twit.sh returned 20 posts, newest first. Eighteen were replies or reposts.

Your agent asked: Get the latest posts from the TaskFuel account on X

Returned in this test:

- Posts returned: 20, newest first
- Newest post: 29 Oct 2026
- Newest own post, 27 Oct: Instead of listing a dry list of paid 402 endpoints, we wanted to let you search by the task or capabilities.
- Mix: 2 own posts, 16 replies, 2 reposts
- Per post: Text, date, ID and engagement counts
- Open a post: x.com/TaskFuelAI/status/2115116268101738586

Charged in this test: $0.01.

One timeline page of 20 posts, replies and reposts included.

## Try the API request

Use your TaskFuel API key as TASKFUEL_API_KEY in your terminal or server. Keep it out of browser code.

### 1. Check the price

This request checks the price without paying. This is the exact timeline request from the test. To read the next page, add next_token from the response; each page is a separate paid request.

```sh
curl --fail-with-body https://app.taskfuel.ai/v1/call \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TASKFUEL_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data-binary @- <<'TASKFUEL_REQUEST'
{
  "url": "https://x402.twit.sh/tweets/user?username=taskfuelai",
  "method": "GET",
  "dryRun": true
}
TASKFUEL_REQUEST
```

### 2. Run the request

Review amount_usd in the quote. To pay and run, change dryRun to false and add maxAmountUsd with that approved amount inside the same JSON object. Keep the inputs unchanged; this limit applies to one call.

### 3. Read the result

Read data[].text, created_at, id and public_metrics. meta.next_token points to the next page. Replies and reposts appear in the same list.

## Connect your agent

Read the [setup guide](https://taskfuel.ai/docs/setup/) and choose the connection your agent supports.

Use one TaskFuel account and prepaid balance. Inspect the provider and request quote before a paid call, then review the returned response and recorded charge.

## When to use it

### Read what an account posted lately.

Ask your agent for a competitor’s or customer’s latest posts. Replies and reposts are mixed in.

### Read the profile before the posts.

A profile lookup returns the bio and public counts.

### Search posts as well as accounts.

Otto’s search returns public posts by keyword, account or mention, newest first. The X search guide shows a tested result.

## Questions

### Do I need an X API key?

No. Your agent pays from your TaskFuel balance, so there is nothing else to sign up for.

### What does a Twitter scraper API cost here?

Our timeline test cost $0.01 and a profile lookup $0.02 on 30 October 2026. The X API lists $0.005 per post read and $0.010 per profile read, as published that day. Your agent shows the price for your own request before it pays.

### Does it return every post an account has made?

No. The timeline returns up to 20 posts per page, newest first. Our test returned 20, and most were replies or reposts.

### Which tool should my agent use?

Use the timeline for an account’s recent posts, the profile for its bio and counts, and search for posts about a topic. The X search guide shows a tested search.

### Can this post tweets or follow accounts?

No. These tools read public data. Posting, following and messaging are separate operations and are not included here.
