# Let OpenClaw send the email.

OpenClaw carries work across sessions, and email is how that work reaches a person. A digest every Friday, an alert when something changes, 2¢ a message. No SMTP server, no sending provider account.

Provider in the worked example: StableEmail.

Price shown for this route: 2¢ per email.

## Connect your agent

Read the [OpenClaw setup guide](https://taskfuel.ai/docs/setup-cli/).

Use one TaskFuel account and prepaid balance. Inspect the provider and request quote before a paid call, then review the returned response and recorded charge.

## When to use it

### The Friday digest, sent not printed.

A job that runs on a schedule has nobody watching it. Have it mail the summary and the run is finished, rather than waiting for you to open a session and ask.

### Tell someone when it matters.

Most runs are uneventful and do not need your attention. The one that is not costs 2¢ to escalate into an inbox you actually read.

### Sign up for things without using yours.

$1 buys OpenClaw an inbox for 30 days. It can receive the confirmation mail and read it back at 0.1¢ a message, without touching your personal account.

## Questions

### Can OpenClaw send emails?

Not on its own: it has no mail server behind it. Connect TaskFuel and it sends the message as a tool call, 2¢ an email, from a shared sender or from an inbox you buy it.

### Do I need an SMTP server?

No. One TaskFuel account and one prepaid balance covers it. TaskFuel pays the provider and bills your balance.

### What does an email cost?

2¢ to send. An inbox is $1 for 30 days, sending from it is 0.5¢, and reading a message is 0.1¢.

### Is it safe to let a scheduled job spend on its own?

The balance is prepaid, so the most any run can spend is what you have topped up. Every call is logged with what it cost.

### Can it receive email too?

Yes, with an inbox of its own. It can list, read and delete messages, and deleting is free.
