## Connect your agent

Read the [Claude Code setup guide](https://taskfuel.ai/docs/setup-cli/).

Use one TaskFuel account and prepaid balance. Inspect the provider and request quote before a paid call, then review the returned response and recorded charge.

## When to use it

### Say when the long job finished.

A task runs for twenty minutes and you find out when you next look at the terminal. Have Claude Code mail you the result instead, 2¢, and stop watching it.

### An inbox of its own.

$1 buys Claude Code an inbox for 30 days. It can receive a confirmation and read it back at 0.1¢ a message, without touching your personal mail.

### Send the summary, do not print it.

Anything Claude Code can write it can send: a test report, a release note, a weekly digest. HTML or plain text, attachments included.

## Questions

### Can Claude Code send emails?

Not on its own: it has no mail server behind it. Connect TaskFuel and it composes and sends the message as a tool call, 2¢ an email, either from a shared sender or from an inbox you buy it.

### Do I need an SMTP server or a sending provider account?

No. One TaskFuel account and one prepaid balance covers it. TaskFuel pays the provider and bills your balance, so there is no key in your shell history and no sending domain to configure.

### What does an email cost?

2¢ to send. An inbox of its own is $1 for 30 days, sending from that inbox is 0.5¢, and reading a message is 0.1¢. Claude Code reads the exact price before it pays.

### Can it receive email, not just send?

Yes. It can buy an inbox, list and read the messages in it, and delete them when it is done. Deleting is free.

### Can it send attachments and HTML?

Yes. Recipients, subject, HTML or plain text, and attachments.

### What if a send fails?

Upstream 4xx and 5xx responses are not charged. A successful provider response can still be charged when its answer is empty or unhelpful.
