ScrapeGraphAI turns one public URL into Markdown. Our test returned all 10 quotes with absolute links.

Price: $0.005 / page.

### Scrape with Firecrawl

Firecrawl returns one public URL as Markdown with absolute links. Our test returned the same 10 quotes.

Price: $0.0126 / page.

### Scrape with Olostep

Olostep returns one public URL as Markdown. Our test returned the same 10 quotes.

Price: $0.01 / page.

### Read a rendered page

A rendered page from JoinMassive. Our test returned the same 10 quotes.

Price: $0.0125 / page.

## A real example

Tested on 2026-11-03 through ScrapeGraphAI.

We read quotes.toscrape.com/js, a practice page whose list appears only after JavaScript runs, like many shop and listing pages. ScrapeGraphAI returned the rendered page as Markdown with all 10 quotes, their authors and tags.

Your agent asked: Read the JavaScript quotes page as Markdown

Returned in this test:

- Quotes returned: 10, with authors and tags
- First quote: “The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking.” by Albert Einstein
- Links: Absolute URLs
- Four more providers: All returned the same 10 quotes

Charged in this test: $0.005.

One public JavaScript page, read once by five providers.

## Try the API request

Use your TaskFuel API key as TASKFUEL_API_KEY in your terminal or server. Keep it out of browser code.

### 1. Check the price

This request checks the price without paying. These are the exact inputs of the first read, with ScrapeGraphAI.

```sh
curl --fail-with-body https://app.taskfuel.ai/v1/call \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TASKFUEL_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data-binary @- <<'TASKFUEL_REQUEST'
{
  "url": "https://mpp.orthogonal.com/scrapegraphai/api/scrape",
  "method": "POST",
  "body": {
    "url": "https://quotes.toscrape.com/js/",
    "formats": [
      {
        "type": "markdown"
      }
    ]
  },
  "dryRun": true
}
TASKFUEL_REQUEST
```

### 2. Run the request

Review amount_usd in the quote. To pay and run, change dryRun to false and add maxAmountUsd with that approved amount inside the same JSON object. Keep the inputs unchanged; this limit applies to one call.

### 3. Read the result

Read the returned Markdown for the page text and links. We requested the Markdown format only.

## Connect your agent

Read the [setup guide](https://taskfuel.ai/docs/setup/) and choose the connection your agent supports.

Use one TaskFuel account and prepaid balance. Inspect the provider and request quote before a paid call, then review the returned response and recorded charge.

## When to use it

### Read the list a plain fetch misses.

All five providers returned the page’s 10 quotes with authors and tags, as Markdown an agent can read.

### Links come back in two styles.

Firecrawl and ScrapeGraphAI returned absolute URLs. JoinMassive, Olostep and Notte returned relative links, so an agent has to rebuild the full URLs.

### Pay per page from one balance.

Each read is one call paid from a TaskFuel balance, from 0.5¢ to 1.26¢ in our tests.

## Questions

### Do I need a ScraperAPI account?

No. Your agent pays from your TaskFuel balance, so there is nothing else to sign up for.

### What does a page read cost?

Our ScrapeGraphAI read cost $0.005 on 3 November 2026. ScraperAPI’s Hobby plan is $49 a month for 100,000 API credits, as published that day. Your agent shows the price for your own request before it pays.

### Is this cheaper than ScraperAPI?

Not at volume. ScraperAPI’s Hobby plan works out to about $0.0005 per credit, against $0.005 for a ScrapeGraphAI read here. TaskFuel suits occasional reads from one balance, with no monthly plan.

### Does it get past anti-bot protection?

ScraperAPI lists CAPTCHA and anti-bot handling on every plan. On TaskFuel, JoinMassive says it handles anti-bot checks. We read only an open practice page and exercised neither.
