Request a variation and compare it with the source file. ## Questions ### Can Claude Code generate images? Not on its own: Claude Code is a coding agent, not an image model. Give it access to one and it generates images in the same session it writes the code, either with a provider API key of your own or with a pay-per-call balance like TaskFuel. ### Do I need my own API key for Claude Code? Every image model has a matching edit endpoint, so Claude Code can recolour, replace a background or restyle an existing asset rather than regenerating it from scratch. ### Does Claude itself generate images? No. Claude and Claude Code both build diagrams and charts as code or SVG, but neither produces photos or illustrations without an image model behind it.
