Tested on 2026-11-05 through Firecrawl.

We read Apify’s Website Content Crawler page with Firecrawl through TaskFuel. The response was Markdown with the page title, 31 headings, 110 links and the page’s own pricing lines.

Your agent asked: Read the Apify Website Content Crawler page as Markdown

Returned in this test:

- Title: Website Content Crawler · Apify
- Size: About 4,200 words, 31 headings and 110 links
- Pricing lines: $0.5 to $5 per 1,000 pages with a headless browser, $0.2 per 1,000 with raw HTTP
- Source: Apify Website Content Crawler page

Charged in this test: $0.0126.

One public page, one read. Apify itself was not run.

## Try the API request

Use your TaskFuel API key as TASKFUEL_API_KEY in your terminal or server. Keep it out of browser code.

### 1. Check the price

This request checks the price without paying. This is the exact request of the Firecrawl read.

```sh
curl --fail-with-body https://app.taskfuel.ai/v1/call \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TASKFUEL_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data-binary @- <<'TASKFUEL_REQUEST'
{
  "url": "https://stableenrich.dev/api/firecrawl/scrape",
  "method": "POST",
  "body": {
    "url": "https://apify.com/apify/website-content-crawler"
  },
  "dryRun": true
}
TASKFUEL_REQUEST
```

### 2. Run the request

Review amount_usd in the quote. To pay and run, change dryRun to false and add maxAmountUsd with that approved amount inside the same JSON object. Keep the inputs unchanged; this limit applies to one call.

### 3. Read the result

The response holds url, title and content. The content field is the page as Markdown, with links and image references.

## Connect your agent

Read the [setup guide](https://taskfuel.ai/docs/setup/) and choose the connection your agent supports.

Use one TaskFuel account and prepaid balance. Inspect the provider and request quote before a paid call, then review the returned response and recorded charge.

## When to use it

### Turn a URL into Markdown.

Your agent sends a public URL and reads back the page text with its headings and links.

### Pull the figures from a pricing page.

In our test the Markdown carried Apify’s own per-page prices, so an agent could read them without opening a browser.

### Pair a page read with a platform.

Your agent reads single pages through TaskFuel, and Apify is being added for whole-site crawls.

## Questions

### Do I need a Firecrawl or Apify account?

No. Firecrawl is available through TaskFuel and Apify is being added to the catalog. Your agent pays from your TaskFuel balance for what the catalog offers.

### How do Firecrawl and Apify differ?

Firecrawl is an API: one URL in, Markdown out. Apify runs scrapers called Actors on its platform, such as Website Content Crawler, which crawls sites and returns text, Markdown or HTML.

### What does Firecrawl vs Apify cost?

Our Firecrawl read cost $0.0126 on 5 November 2026. Firecrawl’s Hobby plan is $19 a month with 5,000 credits. Apify’s Starter plan is $19 a month with $19 of platform usage, and its crawler lists about $0.5 to $5 per 1,000 pages with a headless browser.

### Is Apify available through TaskFuel?

Apify is being added to the catalog, and the price shown here is an estimate. Search the catalog for Apify to see whether it has arrived.

### Can Firecrawl crawl a whole site?

The Firecrawl tool on TaskFuel reads one URL per call. For whole-site crawls, Apify’s Website Content Crawler is the tool built for it.
