# Email finder API

Let your agent find a work email.

Send a name and a company domain, get an address back. Three finders in the catalog, each priced per lookup.

One person at one domain, tested on 4 November 2026. A match is not guaranteed for every name. Your agent shows the price for your own request before it pays.

Provider in the worked example: Tomba, Findymail and AnyAPI.

Price shown for this route: 1¢ per lookup, from.

## What it can do

### Find an email from a name and domain

Tomba's finder returns the most likely address with a score and a verification status. Our test returned an address scored 99 and marked valid.

Price: $0.01 / lookup.

### Find an email from a name and company

Findymail looks up an address from a name and a company website or company name. Our test returned the same address, with the name and domain.

Price: $0.07 / lookup.

### Find an email with a third finder

AnyAPI's finder takes a person's name and domain and returns an address with a status. Our test returned the same address, marked found.

Price: $0.0308 / lookup.

## A real example

Tested on 2026-11-04 through Tomba, Findymail and AnyAPI.

We asked three finders for the work email of one TaskFuel team member. All three returned the same address, and he confirmed it is correct. It is hidden here.

Your agent asked: Find the work email for Moritz at taskfuel.ai with three finders

Returned in this test:

- Tomba: Address returned, score 99 out of 100, verification status valid
- Findymail: The same address returned, with name and domain
- AnyAPI: The same address returned, status found
- Per lookup: $0.01, $0.07 and $0.0308

Charged in this test: $0.1108.

One person at one domain, one lookup per finder. Addresses hidden.

## Try the API request

Use your TaskFuel API key as TASKFUEL_API_KEY in your terminal or server. Keep it out of browser code.

### 1. Check the price

This request checks the price without paying. These are the exact inputs of the first finder in the test. The other two finders take their own parameters.

```sh
curl --fail-with-body https://app.taskfuel.ai/v1/call \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TASKFUEL_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data-binary @- <<'TASKFUEL_REQUEST'
{
  "url": "https://mpp.orthogonal.com/tomba/v1/email-finder?domain=taskfuel.ai&company=TaskFuel&first_name=Moritz&last_name=Kaminski",
  "method": "GET",
  "dryRun": true
}
TASKFUEL_REQUEST
```

### 2. Run the request

Review amount_usd in the quote. To pay and run, change dryRun to false and add maxAmountUsd with that approved amount inside the same JSON object. Keep the inputs unchanged; this limit applies to one call.

### 3. Read the result

Read data.email, data.score and data.verification.status. The company field is required by this finder.

## Connect your agent

Read the [setup guide](https://taskfuel.ai/docs/setup/) and choose the connection your agent supports.

Use one TaskFuel account and prepaid balance. Inspect the provider and request quote before a paid call, then review the returned response and recorded charge.

## When to use it

### Get an address from a name and a domain.

Your agent sends a first name, last name and company domain and reads back the address, with a score where the finder gives one.

### Ask a second finder.

Your agent runs the same name through another finder and compares the addresses. In our test all three agreed.

### Read the verification status.

One finder returns a status with the address. Your agent can read it, or run a separate verification.

## Questions

### Do I need an email finder account?

No. Your agent pays from your TaskFuel balance, so there is nothing else to sign up for.

### What does an email finder lookup cost?

Our three lookups on 4 November 2026 cost $0.01 (Tomba), $0.07 (Findymail) and $0.0308 (AnyAPI). Your agent shows the price for your own request before it pays.

### Do the finders return the same address?

In our test, yes: all three returned the same address for one person at one domain, and that person confirmed it is correct.

### Is a match guaranteed?

No. A finder can return no address, or a likely one that is wrong. Tomba returns a score and a verification status with its answer.

### Which email finders are included?

We tested Tomba, Findymail and AnyAPI. The catalog also lists Hunter and Icypeas finders, which are not part of this test. The find email addresses guide covers Hunter.

### Can it check that an address is deliverable?

Tomba's response included a verification status. A separate verification call is covered in the verify email addresses guide.
